1. Introduction & Legal Entity
Coral Orbit Studio is the independent digital practice and trading name of Tavia Gilbert, operating as a freelance creative and sole trader. By submitting a project brief or paying a deposit, you are entering into an agreement with Tavia Gilbert.
2. Communication & Project Intake
To protect development time and ensure high-quality output, Coral Orbit Studio operates on an asynchronous communication model. Project requirements must be submitted via the Secure Transmission form or a written project brief. All necessary assets (branding, Figma files, copy) must be provided before the development timeline officially begins.
3. Payments & The Deposit System
All projects require an upfront deposit to secure a spot in the studio's schedule. Payments are securely processed via Stripe. Development will not commence until the deposit is cleared. Final deliverables and code handoff will only occur once the final invoice is paid in full.
4. The Coral Orbit Guarantee (Refund Policy)
Frictionless builds, zero corporate runaround. If you are not completely satisfied after the initial prototype phase, you may cancel the project and immediately recover 20% of the total project cost from your deposit. Once the project progresses past the prototype approval phase, deposits become non-refundable to cover the time and architectural labor already invested.
5. Revisions & Scope Creep
Projects are built strictly to the specifications outlined in the initial brief. Minor tweaks during the prototype phase are expected, but any major feature additions, layout redesigns, or scope expansions requested after the brief is approved will be subject to additional billing.
6. Copyright & Code Ownership
Upon completion of the project and receipt of final payment, full ownership and copyright of the final website or application are transferred to the client. Coral Orbit Studio retains the right to display the completed work in the studio portfolio, The Archive, and promotional materials.
7. Play Store Apps & Beta Testing
By submitting your email address to request early access or clearance for my Play Store applications, you agree to share your email with Coral Orbit Studio. This information is used exclusively to facilitate beta testing, gather feedback, and help make these applications live on the platform. 8. Abandoned Projects
If a client fails to respond to communication or provide necessary feedback for more than 14 consecutive days without prior notice, the project will be considered abandoned. Work will cease, and any deposits paid will be forfeited.
