Development Approach

Initially built with HTML to establish the core structure and design, the site was then migrated to WordPress to provide the client with robust content management capabilities. This transition enables the client to independently update their portfolio work and promote their business services without requiring technical assistance.

Technical Implementation

The project involved extensive custom development work, including:

• Custom WordPress components tailored to the client's specific needs
• Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) integration for flexible content management
• Custom post types to organize different categories of creative work
• Bespoke PHP functionality to extend WordPress capabilities
• WordPress Customizer integration for quick, real-time edits to site styling and layout options
• Timeline blog layout featuring FontAwesome icons for visual storytelling
• Gallery store page displaying client work with external links directing visitors to purchase locations
• Light and dark mode toggle for visitor preference, defaulting to dark mode to enhance brand presence and visual impact per client specifications

Personal Reflection

This project was particularly rewarding because it allowed me to dive deep into WordPress customization. Building custom components, implementing PHP solutions, and creating specialized post types gave me valuable experience in transforming a client's vision into a fully functional, maintainable platform that empowers them to grow their business independently.
